Experiments
It is widely recognized that the experiments performed on prisoners in German concentration camps during the Second World War were in fact brutal crimes committed under the use of medical research. Most experiments at Dachau were done by Dr. Sigmund Rascher. About 180-200 prisoners had experiments done.
At the prisoners trial the Nazi doctor tryed to defend the experiment that he was performing on prisoners by claiming that the prisoners that were forced volunteered or were condemned to death
- 10 of the prisoners were volunteers they mostly likely wanted to get away from the camp and/or was over it because they knew the experiment was most likely going to kill him/her.
- 40 were Russian POWs that were believed to be communist commissars
- 70-80 died during the experiment
- 70-80 more were condemned to death, it was probly easyer to get other experiment done instead of wasting a bullet on the prisoner

The two photos above are shown in the Dachau Museum exhibits were the prisoner subjesy is wearing a striped prison uniform and an autopsy was performed on the brains of the victims who died during the experiments.
Hypothermia experiment
The hypothermia project was conducted at the Dachau concentration camp between August 1942 and May 1943. The purpose for it was to establish the most effective treatment for victims of hypothermia, mostly crew members of the German air force who had been shot down into the cold waters of the North Sea.
For this experiment there were only a couple volunteers most of them were forced to do it
During the experiments, the subjects were immersed in a tank of ice water. Some got medicine to go to sleep, others were awake ; many were naked, but others were dressed. Several different methods of rewarming the subjects were also tested. Responses of body temperatures were writen down for later use.
